Each state has different training requirements so be sure to use the pull-down or choose your state to see what training programs are available. While most states are approved, some are still in the application process with the state liquor authority. If your state is still in the application process or is not approved, the course will not be noted as approved in the course description. 123AlcoholSafety.com is a website operated by the Affordable Alcohol Training Company. We have been providing alcohol server and seller training since 2006.

How much does training cost?
123AlcoholSafety.com online training courses start at just $6.00.

Is this a state approved program?
Nearly all of our alcohol seller training courses are approved by the liquor authority for that state. Please see the course page for details. From there you will see if the course is still in the application process or when it was approved. Should you not see the approval status, this will mean that the state does not approve online training provider courses or has not approved the 123AlcoholSafety.com course.

Do courses include full audio narration?
Most courses include full audio narration. Please check the Course Description for your state to learn if your course includes full audio narration.

How long does my certificate last?
Each state has different laws regarding how long your alcohol server seller certificate will remain valid. Please see the course page for specific details regarding your certificate or certification.

Is there a test?
Yes, there is a final exam following every course. You must pass the final exam in order to receive your certificate. Please see the course page for details on the required passing score and the number of attempts that are allowed for each state. In addition, our final exams are not filled with trick questions, or questions with more than one correct answer, making it easier for you to get the certificate that you need.

What if I fail the final exam?
Should you fail the final exam, you may reset your course through your profile page to reset your account. You may also contact us using the 'Contact Us' form so that we may reset your account. At that point,  we will update your account so that you may retake training and access the final exam again at no charge (for most courses).

How long will I have access to the training?
You will have access to your training course for 90 days from the date you first gained access to any course.

What if I need to re-certify after my last 123AlcoholSafety.com certificate has expired?
You may repurchase the training by logging in and going to your profile page... From there, look for the name of your course, and then to the far right where you will see the word, 'REPURCHASE'. By clicking on this, your previous training record will be permanently removed from our system and you will be able to repurchase your training. See Here to Learn How to Reset Your Account.

Why do you need my personal information?
The liquor authority for each state has different requirements for the personal information that must be collected. All information is secure and protected using the latest security technology.

Can I register without an email address?
All users are required to provide an email address when registering. Should you not have an email address, you may set up a new email account using one of the popular email providers including Gmail, Yahoo or Outlook. All of these provide an email address for free and it takes just a couple of minutes to set up.

How do I use a discount code?
A discount code may be used by entering the code on the checkout page.

What is the 'Access Code'?
An 'Access Code' is a code that is provided to you by your employer if they pre-purchased the training on your behalf. If your employer did not provide this code to you, simply leave this field empty when registering for your training. Download instructions on How to Use an Access Code HERE.

Why are there personal validation questions?
Personal validation questions are used to verify that the person taking the course is actually the person who registered for the alcohol server seller training course.

How do I pay for training?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and PayPal. You will enter your payment information on the payment screen when registering for your course.

What if my payment was declined?
There are several reasons a payment may not go through. To help protect your account, our system uses a complex screening process for payments. This helps prevent lost or stolen financial information from being used for unauthorized transactions. Occasionally, payments that don’t go through could be tied to a specific issue with your bank or card.

If your payment was declined, please try another form of payment.

  • If you see an 'NA' under the 'status' column under your purchases on your profile page, this would indicate that an invalid card number, expiration date, security code or billing address was entered.
  • If you see an 'X' under the 'status' column, this would indicate that the card was declined due to insufficient funds.
  • You have not been charged if you see the 'NA' or the 'X' under the status column.

If you are having trouble with any purchase you may use the Contact Us page to request that we send you an electronic invoice which you may pay online. Once we receive payment, we will add your course to your profile and email you with confirmation.

Do you offer refunds?
For refunds requested placed within ten (10) calendar days of purchase, one hundred percent (100%) of the course fee shall be refunded, provided Student has not accessed the training course. Once any course has been accessed, no refunds are available. To request a refund, email contact@123AlcoholSafety.com and include the user ID, transaction ID and your full name. Refunds are processed within 72-hours.

How will this charge show up on my bank or credit card statement?
This payment will appear as 123AlcoholSafety.com on your bank or credit card statement.

Can I pay now and start my training later?
Yes. You may pay now and return to continue your course at any time. Access to any course is availabe up to 90-days after course is purchased or has been begun.

Do I have to complete the entire training in one sitting?
No. You can stop and start training as needed. The site will remember exactly where you left off.

What if I experience technical difficulties?
Should you experience technical difficulties, please refer to the FAQS below. Should you continue to experience difficulties, please use the Contact Us page to reach us along with details on what you are experiencing.

Will this training work on all browser programs?
This system was developed to work on all devices, operating systems and browser programs. Should you experience technical difficulties, it is recommended that you try a different browser program just in case there are any conflicting extensions installed on your device. Ex: You are having trouble using Google Chrome, try switching to Internet Explorer. 

Does this course work on my smart phone or tablet?
Yes. This course has been optimized to work on all computers, tablets and smart phones.

I am not seeing the 'Go to Next Slide' button at the bottom of the screen.
On some operating systems/browser programs, you may need to zoom your screen to 100% or lower for the toolbar to appear at the bottom of the course player. You will also want to be sure to scroll down on some quizzes to find the 'Submit' button to submit your answers.  

To Zoom, do the following:

  • Open a browser that supports zooming such as Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera.
  • Press Ctrl and + to zoom in.
  • Press Ctrl and - to zoom out.
  • Press Ctrl and 0 to restore the original size.

What do I do if I lost my password?
Please use the Forgot Your Password link found on the Log-in page to recover a lost password.

How long may I access the training after I purchase the training?
You will be able to access a course for 90-days after you purchase training. After 90-days, your course will reset and you will be required to re-purchase the course to access the training.

My email address isn’t working to log in.
While not common, there are situations where a user enters the wrong email address when registering. If you did not receive the confirmation email when you registered initially and the lost password feature is not working for you, please use the Contact Us page so that we may reset your email address.

The course will not load.
The course can take up to 30 seconds to load the first time on your device. Should the course not load within this timeframe, please try a different browser. This will typically take care of any instances of the course not loading.

I can’t seem to access the final exam.
If you are unable to access the final exam after completing the course, please go back through each section and look for any slides missing the green check-mark. Once you locate the slide missing the check-mark, go to the slide preceding that slide and click through until all slides show the check-mark. Please note that quizzes and role-playing slides will not show the check-mark.

I can’t download my certificate.
Please contact us via email if you are unable to view, print or save your certificate. You must have a PDF reader installed to view your certificate. Visit https://get.adobe.com/reader/ to download Adobe Reader. Click Here to see how to locate your Certificate of Completion.

My certificate wasn't generated after I passed the Final Exam.
For many courses, additional personal information is required in order for us to submit your training record to the liquor authority and therefore must be entered PRIOR to your certificate being generated by the system. Following the Exam is a form for you to enter your personal information. You must fill in this form and click 'submit' for your certificate to generate by the system. If you are having difficulties with this, log back in and access your course through your profile page (click on the name of the course), then click the 'Take Training' button, then click the 'Take Quiz' button. You will then be presented with the form to complete.

I can’t locate my certificate.
Click Here to see how to locate your Certificate of Completion. You must have a PDF reader installed to view your certificate. Visit https://get.adobe.com/reader/ to download Adobe Reader.

My name is misspelled on the certificate.
Please pay special attention when entering personal information on this system as it is your responsibility to enter your personal information accurately when filling out the registration and personal information pages. Should you require any changes once a certificate has been issued, you may contact us at contact@123alcoholsafety.com so that we may update your certificate. There is a fee of $5.00 for any changes to your certificate.

My birthdate is incorrect on my certificate.
Please pay special attention when entering personal information on this system as it is your responsibility to enter your personal information accurately when filling out the registration and personal information pages. There is a fee of $5.00 for any changes to your certificate.

I have multiple employees to train.
We offer owners and managers the ability to register and pay for their employees to take training. Please visit the Corporate Solutions Page for details. 

I would like to set up an open ended Corporate Account and be billed for only my employees who have registered for training.
For business accounts with over 100 employees, we can set up open ended billing where you provide an Access Code to your staff and we run your credit card at the end of each month. Please contact us to request an open ended Corporate Account.

I have already set up an account (not an Owner/Manager account type) and completed training. How can I change my account type from a standard Student account type to an Owner/Manager account type?
An email address may only be assigned to one account type. If you would like to move from a standard student account to an Owner/Manager account type. please contact us so that we may reset your account so that you may re-register with the correct account type.

I am trying to add an employee, but the site says that their email address is already taken.
If any employee already has created an account on our system, they will not be able to receive any training invitation from an employer. Have the employee contact us using the Contact Us page to request that we clear their account. 

Will I be able to add employees right away, or is there a waiting period?
There is no waiting period. Once you register your Corporate Account, and purchase Course Credits, you will be able to add employees immediately.

My employee has not received his/her 'Training Invitation' email.

Can I invite my employees to take training using their phone number?
Yes, we now offer the ability to add employees using their mobile telephone number. When you add an employee to the system through your profile page, simply enter the employees name, email address AND their mobile number, then click the 'Invite Employee using Email & SMS' button. Your employee will then receive an email AND a text message with a link to accept the training.

I already added my employee using their email address, but not their mobile phone number, and they haven't received the training invitation. How can I now invite them using their mobile number?
Another option is to add your employee using by using their mobile phone number so that they receive a text message with the invitation to take the training. If you added your employee using only their email address and they are telling you that they have not received the training invitation, simply use the 'Cancel Invitation' button located next to their name on your profile. This will remove the employee from the system and credit your account for the unused course credit. Then again add your employee but include their mobile number and then click the 'Invite Employee using Email & SMS' button. Your employee will then receive an email AND a text message with a link to accept the training. 

When my employee clicks the link in the 'Training Invitation' email to accept training, they land on the home page of your website.
Only the most recent 'Training Invitation' email link will work (after clicking on the link, employee should land on a page asking for their new password, birth date, phone number and answers to set for the course security questions). Keep in mind that only the MOST RECENT training invitation email link will work - if you used the 'Resend Invitation' feature to resend their training invitation, only the most recent email link will work.

This may also happen if the employee has already accepted the invitation but forgot that they have completed this. If you have trouble or questions regarding this, please contact us.

I have employees who have not accepted the training invitation and no longer work for me. Am I able to get credit for the user credit so that I may re-assign the course to another employee?
Yes. Any course that has not been started is eligible to be re-assigned to another employee. Use the 'Cancel Invitation' link through your profile page and your account will be credited automatically.
